Originally slated to kick off the season with a home game against Stade Rennais, PSG faced an unexpected twist. The poor condition of the pitch forced a last-minute switch to an away game in Brittany. Following that setback, PSG has been hard at work installing new turf, which was laid on August 25.

Head groundsman Jonathan Calderwood traveled to Ireland to select the finest turf, ensuring that it meets the high standards expected for top-tier matches. Despite the tight timeline, Calderwood and his team believe the new pitch is ready for action:

• Installation completed just seven days prior to the match
• Preparations aimed at providing a safe playing surface
