Manchester City is pursuing a strategic transfer plan involving Kennet Eichhorn, a promising 16-year-old midfielder. According to Christian Falk in his exclusive column for CF Bayern Insider, the club aims to sign Eichhorn and subsequently loan him to Bayer Leverkusen.

Eichhorn is quickly becoming one of Europe's most exciting young talents, attracting interest from several top clubs. Previously, Arsenal and Manchester United were mentioned as potential suitors, but recent reports indicate that Manchester City is leading the race for his signature.

Falk revealed, "It is TRUE: Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have the idea to sign Kennet Eichhorn and then loan him back to Bayer Leverkusen. This plan is necessary because Eichhorn, being only 16, cannot play for City immediately. By acquiring him and allowing him to gain experience in the Bundesliga, they can develop his skills until he turns 18, at which point he can join the Premier League if deemed ready."

The proposed move involves activating Eichhorn's €12m (£10.3m) release clause at Hertha BSC. Leverkusen would be an ideal loan destination, as they could guarantee him playing time—an essential factor for City's long-term strategy.

Other clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, are also monitoring Eichhorn's situation, recognizing his potential value.

While City focuses on securing Eichhorn for future development, they are simultaneously exploring immediate midfield reinforcements, with Federico Valverde of Real Madrid emerging as a possible target.
