Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) triumphed over Marseille in an exhilarating encounter at the Velodrome, showcasing the formidable impact of Ferran Torres in Ligue 1.

The match, known as Le Classique, featured an electrifying atmosphere, with Torres opening the scoring through a showcase of exceptional striker skills. His sharp run across the near post culminated in a perfectly timed leap and a placed header past the helpless goalkeeper, following a well-executed cutback and cross from Desire Doue.

Despite Marseille rallying to equalize shortly after, PSG regained the lead just two minutes later, thanks to Marquinhos, who maintained his impressive goalscoring form this season with a goal from a set piece.

In a remarkable twist, Ferran Torres, who entered as a second-half substitute, was awarded the man of the match—a decision that raised eyebrows given that this marked his third MOTM award in just five Ligue 1 games, with only two of those games being starts. This statistic highlights his extraordinary ability to make an immediate impact since joining the club this summer.

In other news, injury updates from France's international camp brought mixed news for PSG, as the club prepares for significant contract announcements during the ongoing international break.
