Bradley Barcola has once again been excluded from the Paris Saint-Germain squad as he remains linked with potential moves to Liverpool and Arsenal. The 23-year-old France international did not participate in PSG’s recent victory over Aston Villa in the Super Cup, nor in their defeat to Lens in the French Super Cup. He has also been left out of Luis Enrique’s 21-man squad for their upcoming Ligue 1 opener against Rennes.

Liverpool is actively seeking a winger but faces challenges in negotiations with PSG, who are demanding £145m for Barcola. Additionally, Liverpool has shown interest in PSG’s 18-year-old forward Ibrahim Mbaye, who similarly will not feature against Rennes.

Meanwhile, Arsenal is looking to enhance their left side and has recently considered a move for Kenan Yildiz from Juventus.

Barcola has contributed to PSG’s consecutive Champions League titles under Enrique but now faces a precarious position following the club's summer signings of three new attackers: Ferran Torres from Barcelona, Mika Godts from Ajax, and Maghnes Akliouche from Marseille. All new signings are included in the squad for the match against Rennes, while PSG retains Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Desire Doue, further limiting Barcola’s opportunities.

Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola acknowledged a shortage of wingers as the Premier League season approaches, with the Reds set to face Newcastle in their opening match. Despite a recent £60m bid for Yankuba Minteh being rejected by Brighton, Liverpool has only added one winger, Victor Munoz from Osasuna, this summer.

Iraola expressed his frustrations regarding the current market dynamics, stating, "I hate these two weeks or 10 days that we have because there is a lot of uncertainty... especially on the wing because we don’t have enough players specifically to play in those positions."
