This win added an essential 0.250 to Spain’s coefficient, particularly after a stoppage-time penalty save by Augusto Batalla prevented a potential equalizer.

Currently, with four matches remaining, Real Betis is favored to finish in the final Champions League spot, holding a six-point lead over Celta Vigo. Other contenders, including Getafe, Athletic Club, and Real Sociedad, also remain in the hunt for that coveted fifth position. Two wins and a draw will secure Los Verdiblancos' place in the next season's Champions League, but any slip-ups could invite pressure from their rivals.
