The Federació Catalana de Patinatge is gearing up for the 5th edition of the GoldenCat, the International Open for roller hockey selections, taking place from September 17 to 20 at the Pavelló Municipal de Can Xarau in Cerdanyola del Vallès. The competition's presentation featured the federation's president, Benjamí Pons, and the head of Catalan Selections, Alfred Verdaguer.

Supported by World Skate and part of the Setmana Catalana de l'Esport organized by the Unió de Federacions Esportives de Catalunya (UFEC), along with backing from the Sports Department of the Generalitat, this event is establishing itself as a significant international reference in the sport.

The tournament will bring together some of the world's top teams:

• Men's Category: Catalonia, France, Portugal, Angola
• Women's Category: Catalonia, France, Portugal, Germany

During the presentation, Benjamí Pons expressed enthusiasm, stating, "We are excited to have a new edition of the GoldenCat ready in Cerdanyola del Vallès, which will be the world capital of roller hockey for these four days, and it will be a celebration that satisfies everyone." Alfred Verdaguer emphasized the preparation of the Catalan selections, noting, "Our teams have been training hard to reach their maximum level and face the challenge of winning the GoldenCat."
