The 29th International Meeting Ciutat de Barcelona transformed the Estadi Joan Serrahima into a global athletics hub, showcasing two meeting records and numerous personal bests from local, national, and international athletes. Among the homegrown stars, Marta Mitjans and Josué Canales gave their all for the crowd of a thousand spectators.

This prestigious event was driven by the Federació Catalana d'Atletisme, coinciding with the Catalan Sports Week, organized by the Unió de Federacions Esportives de Catalunya (UFEC) with support from the Department of Sports of the Generalitat.

The evening's standout performers included:

• Emily Newnham (UK), who set a new meeting record in the 400 meters hurdles with a time of 54.20 seconds.
• Mason Lawyer (USA), who dazzled in the 100 meters, clocking a remarkable 10.07 seconds, also a record for the competition.

In addition, local athletes such as Sara Gallego, Marta Mitjans, Guillem Crespí, and Josué Canales delivered exceptional performances, underlining the thriving state of Catalan athletics.
