The Coco Beach in Badalona transforms into the epicenter of Catalan beach volleyball this weekend, July 18-19, as it hosts the grand finale of the 2026 Catalonia Championship.

Officially presented on Tuesday at the Badalona City Hall, the event features the presence of Juan Portillo, the deputy councilor for sports, and Maribel Zamora, the president of the Catalan Volleyball Federation. This prestigious competition gathers the top eight pairs from both the women’s and men’s categories of the Catalan ranking.

In the women’s category, reigning champions Kadri Puri and Erika Kliokmanaite aim to defend their title in what promises to be a closely contested final. Meanwhile, in the men’s category, Manu Nieto and Eric Estalella face the same challenge after winning the 2025 edition. With the best names in the circuit participating, the final day is set for high-level competition where every detail could be crucial.

The action begins Saturday morning with the first eliminations held on two courts simultaneously. By afternoon, all matches will shift to the central court. Access to the event is free throughout the weekend, allowing fans to enjoy top-tier beach volleyball in a stunning seaside setting. The finals will determine the new Catalonia champions, with the women’s final scheduled for 6:00 PM and the men’s final at 7:00 PM on Sunday.

In addition to the live action at Coco Beach, both finals will be broadcast on Esport3. The Badalona event marks the culmination of the 2026 Catalonia Beach Volleyball Championship, which has spanned various municipalities, including Arrabassada Beach in Tarragona, Adarró Beach in Vilanova i la Geltrú, and the CEM Vall d’Hebron courts, before reaching its climactic conclusion.
