Zan Vipotnik, the golden boot winner from last season, has yet to find his scoring touch for Swansea City in the current Championship campaign. Despite the team's impressive unbeaten start, leading the table after six games, Vipotnik remains without a goal this season.

Last year, the 24-year-old striker had an outstanding performance, netting 23 league goals and securing the golden boot. He began the previous season with a bang, scoring five times in his first six matches. However, the same cannot be said for the start of the 2026-27 season, where he has yet to find the net after six appearances.

In the latest match against Wrexham, Vipotnik came on as a substitute but failed to convert a late opportunity to score. Swans boss Vitor Matos expressed confidence in Vipotnik's abilities, stating, "I think if someone knows how to score goals it's him, so I think it's just a matter of scoring."

Vipotnik has only made one league start this season, with Adam Idah, who has scored twice since joining from Celtic, preferred in the lineup. There have also been rumors regarding Vipotnik's future, particularly after a rejected £10m bid from Hull City and speculation about interest from Burnley. Matos acknowledged the ongoing transfer windows might still pose challenges for Vipotnik.

Former Wales striker Nathan Blake commented on Vipotnik's current mental state, suggesting that the transfer speculation may have affected his performance. Matos agreed, stating, "It's normal that some things can unsettle you when we are in the middle of all of this." As Swansea prepares to face Southampton on Tuesday, Vipotnik's ability to regain his form remains a key focus.
