Former Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma is on the brink of signing with Ajax on an initial deal that extends until the end of the season. The 30-year-old defensive midfielder, who was released by Spurs in June, prepares for his return to football in the Netherlands.

It has been reported that Bissouma has agreed to a contract that lasts until the end of the current season, with an option for an additional 12 months. Currently, he is in Amsterdam finalizing the details of his transfer to the Eredivisie club.

Bissouma joined Tottenham in 2022 and made a total of 111 appearances for the north London club after a notable move from Brighton. His time at Spurs, however, was marred by controversy, including an incident in August 2025 when then-manager Thomas Frank omitted him from the squad for the Uefa Super Cup against Paris St-Germain due to ongoing issues with lateness.
