Among the clubs linked with Diomande, Liverpool appears to be the frontrunner, with reports from TEAMtalk suggesting that negotiations were progressing positively. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has indicated that Diomande might opt to sign a new contract with Leipzig instead.

In a recent interview with The Athletic, Diomande name-dropped Chelsea, expressing that it is flattering to be linked with such a prominent club. Notably, he did not mention Liverpool, emphasizing his gratitude towards Leipzig for their support.

Diomande stated:

"Imagine people say you go to Chelsea or Real Madrid to do this job…you’re going to be happy and motivated to do more."

"The club has helped me so much with my family and my mum. They did a lot for me so I’m grateful and all I can do is help them on the pitch."
