Ireland head coach Scott Bemand expressed his satisfaction in naming seven uncapped players for the upcoming WXV Global Series. This selection follows their impressive performances in the Women's Interprovincial Championship.

The uncapped forwards include Jemima Adams Verling, Sophie Barrett, Beth Buttimer, and Kate Jordan, while backs Caitriona Finn, Lucia Linn, and Alana McInerney aim for their first Test debuts next month.

Ireland's schedule features:

• USA and Japan at home in September
• Two October Tests against South Africa
• An additional game against Japan that is not part of the series

Notably, Buttimer, Finn, and McInerney from Munster were part of the wider Six Nations squad this year, alongside Adams Verling and Barrett from Connacht and Ulster. However, Jordan and Linn make their first appearances in the national setup.

Munster has dominated the Interprovincial Championship with a perfect record and is set to face Leinster in the final.

Beibhinn Parsons from Connacht also returns to the squad despite missing the initial games due to injury. Bemand highlighted the significance of including these new talents, stating, "The Interpros highlighted the quality of talent coming through the system. This is an excellent chance for those players to challenge themselves and raise standards as they push for international honors."

In addition to the homegrown talent, Bemand has also included eight players based in England, such as Neve Jones, Niamh O'Dowd, and Sam Monaghan from Gloucester Hartpury, and Brittany Hogan from Sale Sharks. Cliodhna Moloney-MacDonald and Dorothy Wall from Exeter round out the 36-player panel, while Nancy McGillivray is notably absent.
