Streaming platform Netflix has secured the rights to broadcast the 2030 World Cup in Spain and Andorra, marking its first foray into showing the men's World Cup.

In a statement, Netflix confirmed, "We will offer all 104 matches of the world's biggest football competition live."

The tournament will see reigning champions Spain co-hosting alongside Portugal and Morocco, with additional matches held in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay to commemorate the centenary of the event.

Key details include:

• One game per match-day will be available to watch for free in Spain.
• All of Spain's games and the final will still be broadcast on free-to-air television.

Previously, Netflix has ventured into live sports in the UK, showcasing events such as WWE Wrestling, NFL matches, and boxing. Notably, it will also air the all-British heavyweight contest between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua this December.

In addition to the men's World Cup, Netflix holds the rights for the 2027 and 2031 editions of the women's World Cup in the United States and Canada.
