As Week 7 concludes on Monday night, the Philadelphia Eagles prepare to face their rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles currently grapple with significant injuries, missing quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is expected to sit out the remainder of the season due to blood clots in his lungs, and wide receiver DeVonta Smith, who has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.

However, there is optimism surrounding running back Saquon Barkley, who is officially listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. Reports indicate that Barkley is trending positively toward making his return this week. He participated in practice as a limited participant on Thursday and Friday, and was a full participant on Saturday, according to NFL Network.

This season, Barkley has struggled, accumulating only 182 rushing yards and no touchdowns across four games. His participation has been limited, playing under 16% of offensive snaps in half of his appearances. He sustained a stinger during the Eagles' Week 2 game against the Tennessee Titans, followed by a hamstring pull in the first quarter of the Eagles' Week 4 clash with the Los Angeles Rams.

The impact of Barkley's presence is evident:

• Eagles' Record with Barkley: 2-2
• Eagles' Record without Barkley: 0-2
• Rushing Yards per Game with Barkley: 109.0
• Rushing Yards per Game without Barkley: 28.5

Barkley averages 5.1 yards per rush on his 36 attempts, while other Eagles running backs have managed only 2.8 yards per rush on 71 attempts. In the previous week, the Eagles relied on Dameon Pierce, who rushed just 12 times for 35 yards and a touchdown against the Carolina Panthers. With Barkley nearing a return, the Eagles hope to revitalize their ground game against the Cowboys.
