Luis de la Fuente’s side returns home as national heroes after beating Argentina 1-0 in the final, with Ferran Torres writing himself into Spanish folklore with his extra-time winner.

La Roja also swept up individual awards on a famous afternoon in New Jersey, with captain Rodri beating the likes of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe to the Golden Ball, while Pau Cubarsi was named young player of the tournament and Unai Simon took home the Golden Glove.

Crowds packed Madrid's Puerta de Sol and other major squares as they celebrated into the early hours of Monday morning. Supporters have already secured their spots in Cibeles Square for the parade, braving the baking sun to welcome their heroes.

Parade Details

• When: Spain’s open-top bus parade will begin at 7pm local time (6pm BST) after the players return to home soil, with their plane due to land at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport around 2:30pm on Monday.
• Royal Welcome: The team will first stop at the Royal Palace of Zarzuela for a formal greeting by King Felipe VI and the royal family, followed by an official reception at Moncloa Palace with Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

Spain's parade will start at the Moncloa transport interchange and proceed down:

• Calle de Sagasta
• Calle de Genova
• Calle de Goya

The finale will include a right turn onto Calle de Serrano, passing the Puerta de Alcala, and concluding at Cibeles Palace. Surprise musical performances will complement the presentation of the world champions, with a festival-style main stage set up for the expected hundreds of thousands of Spanish fans.
