Serie A returned after the first international break of the season, showcasing an eventful weekend in October. Inter and Lazio currently lead the standings, while Napoli finally showcased a strong performance on Saturday. However, AC Milan continues to struggle, managing only a 1-1 draw away against Sassuolo, compounded by Cagliari's home draw against Juventus.

AC Milan in Trouble

Ruben Amorim’s AC Milan has yet to meet expectations. Their recent draw against Sassuolo highlighted ongoing issues that have persisted under various coaches. With limited time to achieve targets, Amorim faces increasing pressure if results do not improve. Key points include:

• Goncalo Ramos, the club's most expensive signing, has scored only once in six Serie A appearances.
• Christian Pulisic, the American forward, has yet to find his rhythm.

Gerry Cardinale, AC Milan's owner, attended the match against Sassuolo and is expected back in Milan for the critical game against Atalanta on October 18, where a strong reaction is necessary following the disappointing draw.

Lazio Soaring

In contrast, Lazio is thriving, sitting atop the Serie A table after six matches, largely due to an impressive start to the season under Gennaro Gattuso. They secured a 3-1 victory against Monza over the weekend, showcasing exciting soccer despite a fan boycott at the Stadio Olimpico due to tensions with ownership. Notable highlights include:

• Summer signings like Davide Frattesi and Andrea Pinamonti are making significant contributions with goals and assists.
• The team's turnaround follows a disappointing Coppa Italia exit against Mantova at the season's outset.

As the season progresses, the contrasting fortunes of AC Milan and Lazio present a captivating narrative in Serie A.
