Ben Donaldson has been given the nod for his first start in two years, partnering with established scrumhalf Ryan Lonergan.

Despite Gordon's fitness after a facial injury sustained in last week’s narrow win in Jujuy, coach Les Kiss remains committed to evaluating all available options for the flyhalf position. Kiss emphasized the need for all candidates to gain experience, stating, "We wanted to make sure we saw the 10s, all of them, in some form."

Donaldson's selection comes after a series of players, including Noah Lolesio and James O’Connor, have previously filled the role. Kiss aims for consistency leading into the World Cup, noting the importance of having players ready for critical matches later in the year.

Gordon remains a strong contender for the flyhalf position, having returned early from rugby league at the behest of Rugby Australia. However, Kiss was critical of his performance late in the last match, pointing out issues with decision-making and execution in key moments.

The lineup features additional changes: Len Ikitau and Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii return as the midfield pair, while Filipo Daugunu replaces Harry Potter on the wing. Captain Harry Wilson resumes at No 8, with Tom Hooper rested.
