Great Britain and Ireland triumphed in the Walker Cup for the first time since 2015, completing a stunning comeback to defeat the USA by a score of 13½-12½. After a challenging start at Lahinch, where they suffered a clean sweep in the Sunday morning foursomes, the team rallied to win the crucial singles matches.

Dean Robertson's side entered the singles three points behind, but the players responded with determination. Key victories from Stuart Grehan, Luke Poulter, Jack Whaley, and Tyler Weaver set the stage for a dramatic finish. Despite the Americans’ early successes, including wins from Ryder Cowan and Josiah Gilbert, Team GB&I maintained their composure.

The competition came down to the final match, where Josh Hill faced Tyler Watts. Hill's exceptional up-and-down from the bunker on the 18th hole secured the victory, capping off an incredible comeback.
