Wales bounced back from a disappointing defeat to Denmark with a spirited 2-1 victory over Norway in Cardiff, marking their first win in the Nations League A.

Craig Bellamy, the Welsh coach, expressed his frustration after the previous match, but his team responded with resilience. After a sluggish start, the Dragons showcased their determination, turning around an initial deficit to clinch three vital points.

The match began with a significant pre-game storyline as Erling Haaland made his return for Norway following Manchester City's recent controversies. However, Haaland remained largely ineffective throughout the match. Oscar Bobb put Norway ahead with a goal in the 11th minute, assisted by Martin Ødegaard, providing a tough start for Bellamy's men.

Wales rallied impressively, with Sorba Thomas proving instrumental on the left flank. After several near-misses, Daniel James found the equalizer just before halftime, converting a well-placed cross from Thomas.

The second half kicked off dramatically as Torbjorn Heggem received a red card for a foul on James just 15 seconds in. Following the dismissal, Neco Williams scored from a free-kick in the 48th minute, turning the game in Wales' favor.

Despite several opportunities to extend their lead, Wales faced a tense finish but ultimately secured their first Nations League A victory. Key moments included:

• 11' GOAL! Bobb scores for Norway after Ødegaard's assist.
• 38' GOAL! James equalizes for Wales, assisted by Thomas.
• 46' RED CARD! Heggem sent off for a foul on James.
• 48' GOAL! Williams scores from the resulting free-kick.
• 59' Haaland misses a close-range header.

This victory marks a significant turnaround for Wales as they aim to build momentum in the competition.
