Usain Bolt, the eight-time Olympic champion, has officially registered to play for Wythenshawe Vets FC, a veterans' Sunday league football team in Manchester. The 40-year-old Jamaican sprinter is now listed on the Football Association's Full-Time website as a player for the team competing in the Premier Division of the Cheshire Veterans Football League.

Wythenshawe Vets FC, based in south Manchester, gained significant attention last year for assembling a squad filled with former Premier League stars. This season's roster includes notable players such as:

As the fastest man in history over both 100m and 200m, Bolt set world records at the 2009 Athletics World Championships. After retiring from athletics in 2017, he ventured into professional football. In 2018, he scored twice in a friendly for the Australian A-League side Central Coast Mariners and signed a contract with the club, turning down a two-year offer from Valletta in Malta, but left after just eight weeks.
