Morgan Morris is setting his sights on a strong finish to a challenging season with the Ospreys. The 27-year-old number eight has faced a frustrating 2025-26 campaign, making only 10 appearances due to injuries, including a foot operation and calf issues that sidelined him until mid-December.

Morris expressed his feelings about the season, stating, "It has probably been my toughest season. I came into it injured, picked up another couple of injuries, got back into the flow of it and then got injured again. I'm just happy to be back out there and I'm looking to be involved."

Historically, Morris has been a regular for the Ospreys, averaging 20 games in the previous four seasons. He reflected, "It's the first time I've had a season like this. I've been pretty lucky in the last few years and haven't really missed many games."

The Ospreys boast a strong back row, featuring players like Jac Morgan, Harri Deaves, and Morgan Morse. Despite this competition, Morris has demonstrated his potential as a Wales contender, especially with Taulupe Faletau injured. Current national head coach Steve Tandy has already debuted Ospreys back-rowers Morse and Deaves, indicating a possible opportunity for Morris if he finishes the season strongly.

Ospreys head coach Mark Jones highlighted Morris's importance, saying, "Morgan is a unique player for us. He is very physical and wins a lot of collisions... His performances have been really good and I know he is keen to push on and really get into Steve Tandy's eyes and impress for a summer tour." With upcoming fixtures against teams like the Barbarians, Fiji, Argentina, and South Africa, Morris is motivated to make a lasting impact.
