Ospreys have officially signed Marika Koroibete, the former Wallabies wing, marking their fourth Australian recruitment this summer. The 34-year-old will join the Swansea-based club for the 2026-27 season in the United Rugby Championship (URC).

Koroibete, who earned his last of 63 caps for Australia against New Zealand in September 2024, comes to Ospreys after a successful five-season stint with Panasonic Wild Knights in Japan.

Expressing his excitement, Koroibete stated, "I'm really happy to be joining the Ospreys. I've heard some great things from the boys here already about the team and the environment, so I can't wait to get started." He emphasized the privilege of joining the club and following in the footsteps of rugby legends.

The wing, who debuted for Australia in 2017, has scored 20 tries in his 63 Tests and participated in both the 2019 and 2023 World Cups. His signing also opens the possibility for him to represent Fiji in the upcoming tournament in Australia.

Koroibete becomes the fourth Australian to join Ospreys this season, following Ryan Smith, who made a significant impact last year. Head coach Mark Jones has also welcomed former Wallabies captain Liam Wright, nine-times capped center Lalakai Foketi, and versatile back Lawson Creighton to bolster the squad.

Jones remarked on Koroibete's addition, stating, "I think I speak for everyone involved with the club when I say how happy we are to have added such an explosive talent to our squad." He highlighted Koroibete's experience as invaluable for the development of younger players.

Ospreys will face Coventry in a friendly on Friday, 4 September at 19:30 BST, gearing up for their URC opener against Sharks on Saturday, 26 September.
