Michael 'Venom' Page prepares for the final bout on his UFC contract against Nursulton Ruziboev in Paris this Saturday. The 39-year-old fighter, who joined the UFC in 2024, has had a mixed performance with four wins out of five fights, all victories coming by decision.

Known for his striking prowess, Page acknowledges that he has not met his own expectations in the UFC, especially without a stoppage to his name. He expressed his feelings, stating, "I'm still buzzing to be in this game, but then there's also [the fact] I feel like I haven't delivered what I wanted to deliver."

Page has voiced his concerns about the scheduling of his fights, questioning the UFC's booking frequency. He has competed in the middleweight division, securing wins against Sharabutdin Magomedov and Jared Cannonier, despite being primarily a welterweight fighter. An anticipated bout with Leon Edwards has yet to occur.

Facing a formidable opponent in Ruziboev, who has 20 submissions and has fought 50 MMA bouts, Page knows he must perform to remind the UFC of his capabilities. Ruziboev, at 32, enters as the underdog with four stoppages in his five victories in the octagon.

As Page approaches free agency, he could become a valuable asset for rival promotions, having previously spent much of his career with Bellator. However, he remains focused on this fight, aiming to have a discussion with the UFC afterward to clarify expectations and future directions. "This fight is important to re-establish myself with the UFC," Page noted, emphasizing his desire for clear targets moving forward.
