Everton has reached an agreement to sign Tyrique George from Chelsea for a deal worth up to £24m, which includes add-ons.

The 20-year-old winger impressed during his loan spell at Everton last season, making 11 appearances and starting once. Manager David Moyes praised him as an "excellent boy with an excellent work-rate" after his initial four-month stint on Merseyside.

George, who is an England Under-21 international and a product of Chelsea's academy, has been available for transfer for over a year. He previously held talks with RB Leipzig last summer, and a £22m transfer to Fulham fell through on the transfer deadline day in September 2025.

The transfer is now pending personal terms and a medical examination. If completed, George will become Everton's second signing of the summer, following the acquisition of Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough for £16m. Additionally, Merlin Rohl has made his loan from SC Freiburg permanent, while Idrissa Gana Gueye and Seamus Coleman have left the club after their contracts ended.
