Videos surfaced online showing rival fans in conflict, prompting Saxon State Police to confirm two arrests and the dispersal of all individuals involved. Two officers sustained minor injuries during the altercations, highlighting the volatility of the situation.

Key details include:

• At approximately 20:00 (19:00 BST), around 300 Rayo Vallecano fans, deemed high-risk for hooliganism, gathered in the city center.
• Clashes erupted as Palace fans occupied outdoor terraces at Leo's Brasserie and Dhillons.
• Projectiles, including bottles and pub furniture, were hurled between the groups, leading to physical confrontations.

Police intervened swiftly, separating the groups and checking the identities of over 300 individuals. Dispersal orders were issued to restore order. The situation escalated when known troublemakers from Crystal Palace congregated at the Penguin Ice Bar, provoking passing Spanish fans.

The police operation finally concluded around 03:15 on Wednesday, involving more than 320 fans. In contrast, the 'fan fest' in Leipzig's market area remained peaceful, hosting approximately 2,000 fans from both clubs.
