Trent Alexander-Arnold has shared his enthusiasm about working with the newly reappointed Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho, calling it "a pleasure" and expressing confidence in Mourinho's ability to lead the club to trophies.

Mourinho returned to Real Madrid in June for his second stint, following a disappointing season where the team finished second in La Liga behind Barcelona and exited the Champions League at the quarter-finals, losing to Bayern Munich.

Having joined Real Madrid from Liverpool last year, Alexander-Arnold is eager to play under Mourinho. He stated, "I have always admired the coach. I’ve played against him a couple of times, and it’s a pleasure to work with him and his team."

He elaborated on the intense environment Mourinho fosters, mentioning, "It’s intense. The principles and the level of demand are very high, so I’m looking forward to seeing how, the more we get to know each other, the more we learn and the more he can teach us."

The 27-year-old full-back is optimistic about the upcoming season, noting, "I’m sure he’ll teach us many things and help us win trophies this year."

Alexander-Arnold faced challenges in his first season in Spain due to injuries, affecting his starting position. However, the departure of Dani Carvajal in May presents a significant opportunity for him to become Madrid's first-choice right-back.
