Viktor Hovland enters the final round of the Travelers Championship with a narrow one-shot advantage over Scottie Scheffler. This pivotal tournament, taking place in Connecticut, has seen intense competition, especially after Scheffler's impressive 10-under 60 performance on Friday at TPC River Highlands.

Despite his strong back nine, which featured four birdies in five holes, Scheffler stumbled at the last hole, finishing with a 67 and a total of 19 under. He initially struggled on the front nine, managing just one birdie at the third before making a bogey on the 10th, which he quickly corrected with a birdie on the 11th. However, his failure to secure a par putt on the 18th allowed Hovland to seize the opportunity.

Hovland, recovering from a bogey early in the back nine, responded with four birdies, culminating in a crucial birdie on the 18th, leading to his six-under 64 for a total of 20 under.

Patrick Cantlay also performed well, scoring six-under 64 to tie for third at 15 under, alongside Akshay Bhatia, who finished with a 67.

Shane Lowry made a strong push, recording four birdies on the back nine for another 64, placing him at 13 under. Matt Fitzpatrick and Wyndham Clark joined him at that score, both shooting 67 and 65, respectively.

Eric Cole, who started the day in third, managed to recover from a shaky start to finish at 13 under with a 69. Justin Rose and Aaron Rai both sit at 12 under and 10 under, respectively, after their rounds of 67.

Alex Fitzpatrick impressed with a six-under 64, bolstering his chances for Open Championship qualification, while Tommy Fleetwood struggled to stay in contention, finishing at nine under after a couple of costly bogeys.
