Haugset's impressive solo performance has set the stage for an exciting fourth day of the Tour de France Femmes. On the eve of the 21km individual time trial from Gevrey-Chambertin to Dijon, she has established a significant lead of 2 minutes and 2 seconds over Kim Le Court.

In her own words, Haugset expressed her motivation:
“I was thinking about all my teammates and everyone cheering from home, so I had to give it my all. All done in the Norwegian champion’s jersey, too – it’s fantastic.”

The team had targeted this stage as a crucial point in the race. Haugset mentioned, “We had looked at this stage and it was the goal for this Tour. I told my father I’d get some flowers today.”

As she prepares for the time trial, Haugset notes, “Tomorrow is the time trial, but I haven’t worked on it this year so I will just enjoy it.” Her focus now shifts to maintaining her lead and enjoying the challenge ahead.
