Kimberley Le Court of AG Insurance-Soudal showcased her resilience by winning stage six of the Tour de France Femmes on Thursday, despite facing a mechanical failure and an early crash. The stage, spanning 153.4 km from Montbrison to Tournon-sur-Rhone, concluded with a thrilling sprint finish.

After changing bikes just 15 km from the finish, Le Court battled back to join a small breakaway group of eight riders with 10 km remaining. In a dramatic final push, she launched her sprint with 300 meters to go, narrowly edging out Cedrine Kerbaol of France to claim victory. Puck Pieterse from the Netherlands finished in third place.

Meanwhile, Marlen Reusser of Movistar retained the yellow jersey, maintaining a 12-second lead over Demi Vollering following the intense stage.

Looking ahead, stage seven promises to be a challenging queen stage, covering 146.8 km from La Voulte-sur-Rhone to the summit finish at the iconic Mont Ventoux in the French Alps.

This victory marks Le Court's second stage win in the Tour de France Femmes, following her success in stage five last year. Reflecting on her performance, she praised her team for their support during the bike change, stating, "They brought me back slowly but surely to the bunch, and I got back on top of the [second-to] last climb, which was a really big effort." Le Court expressed disbelief at her ability to sprint after such a taxing effort, saying, "I was really, really dead, I was on the limit."
