Tadej Pogacar has reinforced his dominance in the Tour de France 2026 with a commanding victory in the mountainous stage 14, further extending his overall lead. The rider from UAE Team Emirates-XRG finished the 155 km course from Mulhouse a remarkable 38 seconds ahead of his teammate Isaac del Toro from Mexico, while France's rising star Paul Seixas of Decathlon CMA-CGM secured third place, finishing on the same time.

Jonas Vingegaard, Pogacar's chief competitor for the yellow jersey and a two-time Tour champion, came in fourth, trailing by 44 seconds. The leaders navigated through enthusiastic crowds along the narrow roads leading to Le Markstein in the Voges mountains, near the borders of Germany and Switzerland.

Despite entering the race in formidable form after recovering from a serious crash in 2024, Vingegaard faced a tough challenge as Pogacar launched a decisive attack with about eight kilometers remaining.

Pogacar's exceptional cadence and power proved too much for Vingegaard, who now finds himself four minutes and 30 seconds behind in the overall standings, following Pogacar's additional three stage victories in this Grand Tour.

At 27 years old, Pogacar aims to match the record of five Tour wins held by legends such as Jacques Anquetil and Eddy Merckx.

Pogacar expressed gratitude to the fans, stating, "Thanks to all the fans who came to the side of the road. It was really something unforgettable... There is so much crowd that it gives you [an] additional boost."

In other classifications, Remco Evenepoel of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe remains third overall, while Mads Pedersen of Lidl-Trek holds the green points jersey. Pogacar also retains the King of the Mountains jersey, and Seixas has taken the white young riders classification, leading by three seconds over Juan Ayuso of Lidl-Trek.
