Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo opened up about his biggest career regret: not winning the Super Bowl. Speaking on PMT, he expressed that despite his successful ten-year career, lifting the Vince Lombardi trophy always eluded him.

Romo stated, "I'm not a guy with big regrets, I guess you could say. The only regret I guess I would have is that… my job was to bring a Super Bowl to Dallas, and I didn't do it. That always sticks with me a little bit." He dedicated his heart and soul to the game and felt a deep responsibility to fulfill the expectations of fans and the organization.

His last full season in 2014 saw him throw for 3,705 yards, 34 touchdowns, and only nine interceptions. Following injuries in 2015, the Dak Prescott era began, leading to Romo’s retirement and transition to the CBS broadcast booth in 2016.

Reflecting on his career, Romo noted, "At the end it was like … I could go somewhere else and do it… but would that be the same if I went somewhere else?" He acknowledged that injuries hampered his later years, but he remained proud of his contributions.

Romo's legacy with the Cowboys is significant. As an undrafted quarterback, he transformed the franchise during tough times, amassing nearly 35,000 yards and 248 touchdowns. Yet, his playoff struggles—including a 2-4 postseason record—overshadowed his regular-season success.

Despite not having a Super Bowl appearance, Romo ranks among the most efficient passers in NFL history, boasting a career passer rating of 97.1, surpassing legends like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. However, he remains outside the Pro Football Hall of Fame, a testament to the complexities of his remarkable yet unfulfilled career.
