The New York Yankees face a crucial Game 2 of their American League Division Series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, October 5, at 8 p.m. ET at Tropicana Field. After a disappointing 1-0 loss in the opener, where their pitching staff excelled but the offense faltered with only one hit, the Yankees must find a way to solve Freddy Peralta to avoid an 0-2 series deficit. In the series opener, Jonathan Aranda hit a solo homer off Gerrit Cole, and Drew Rasmussen nearly achieved a no-hitter, allowing just one hit into the eighth inning.

Cam Schlittler, a favorite for the AL Cy Young Award, will take the mound for New York, looking to build on his 6 2/3 scoreless innings from the Wild Card Series. Conversely, Tampa Bay counters with Peralta, who has struggled in the playoffs with a 4.32 ERA in nine appearances.

In another playoff matchup, the Chicago White Sox aim for a commanding lead against the Cleveland Guardians at 5 p.m. ET in Game 2 at Progressive Field. The White Sox won the opener 3-0, bolstered by rookie Munetaka Murakami's two-run homer.

As for the NFL, Monday Night Football sees the New Orleans Saints (1-2) host the Atlanta Falcons (1-2) at 8:15 p.m. ET at the Caesars Superdome. The Falcons, fresh off a 35-14 victory over the Green Bay Packers, look to continue their momentum against a Saints team that has scored at least 24 points in every game this season.

In the NHL, the San Jose Sharks (2-0-0) will challenge the Dallas Stars (0-2-0) at 8 p.m. ET. The Sharks aim to maintain their undefeated start, while the Stars seek their first win after a slow offensive start.

Betting Odds:

• Yankees -124 vs. Rays
• Guardians -152 vs. White Sox
• Saints -1.5 vs. Falcons
• Stars -204 vs. Sharks

This Monday promises exciting matchups across MLB, NFL, and NHL, making it a must-watch for sports fans.
