In a commanding performance, Manchester Super Giants triumphed over London Spirit by seven wickets in their opening match of The Hundred at Lord's. The Super Giants successfully chased down a modest target of 81 runs, finishing at 86-3 in just 59 balls.

London Spirit struggled significantly with the bat, collapsing to 80 all out in 91 balls. Key performances included:

• Marizanne Kapp, who top-scored for Spirit with 17 runs off 12 balls.
• Ryana MacDonald-Gay, the standout bowler for the Super Giants, who claimed impressive figures of 4-17.

The Spirit faced immediate challenges, losing both openers, Grace Harris (4 runs) and Amy Jones (0 runs), early in their innings. MacDonald-Gay's exceptional bowling dismantled the Spirit batting lineup, with notable dismissals including:

• Marie Kelly and Deandra Dottin, who fell for low scores.
