Ibrahim Mbaye is on the verge of leaving Paris Saint-Germain to join Aston Villa, marking a significant move as the summer transfer window approaches its end. The 18-year-old attacker has reportedly agreed to a transfer fee of €55 million.

Having been part of PSG since 2018, Mbaye progressed through their youth ranks, making 42 first-team appearances for the French and European champions. Last season, he contributed with three goals and two assists in Ligue 1, although his UEFA Champions League involvement was limited to just four matches out of 17.

Despite interest from Liverpool FC, Mbaye has opted for a switch to Aston Villa. According to sources, he has completed the second part of his medical and is expected to finalize his contract on Sunday.

In a related note, Mbaye will face off against his former teammate Bradley Barcola, who is also making a Premier League move, transferring from PSG to Liverpool for a staggering €145 million, including add-ons. Barcola completed his medical on the same day and is set to sign a five-year contract with the Reds.

Even with the departures of both players, PSG's attacking lineup remains strong, featuring Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Désiré Doué. PSG has also bolstered their squad by signing Mika Godts from Ajax and Maghnes Akliouche from AS Monaco this summer.

PSG started their Ligue 1 campaign with two draws against Stade Rennais and Lille, with their next match scheduled against AS Monaco on September 4.
