Hull KR star Mikey Lewis has received a four-game suspension following a 34-12 defeat against Warrington Wolves on Saturday. The ban results from a late tackle and a headbutt that occurred during the match.

Lewis was sin-binned for a tackle on Ewan Irwin, but he also appeared to headbutt Adam Holroyd from Warrington in an incident that went unnoticed by match officials. The Match Review Panel announced on Monday that it has imposed a one-game ban for a Grade C late-contact penalty due to the tackle, along with an additional three-game suspension for the Grade E headbutt.

This decision comes at a critical time for Hull KR, as the reigning champions have now fallen out of the playoff positions, trailing St Helens Saints by two points with only eight games remaining in the Super League season.

As a result of the ban, Lewis will miss several key fixtures, including:

• Matches against Bradford Bulls
• Castleford Tigers
• Catalans Dragons

The Super League season continues with important dates approaching, including the Rivals Round from July 23-26 and the Grand Final scheduled for October 3.
