Stephen Bunting is set to revel in his recent success at the European Championship by attending a Borussia Dortmund match in the Bundesliga. After a commanding 10-3 victory over Kim Huybrechts, Bunting secured his place in the quarter-finals, where he will face Gerwyn Price on Sunday.

The Westfalenhalle arena, where the darts tournament is held, is conveniently located next to Signal Iduna Park, where Dortmund will host Eintracht Frankfurt this Saturday evening.

Bunting, a devoted Liverpool supporter, has developed a reputation as a lucky charm for Borussia Dortmund, having never witnessed them lose. He expressed his excitement, stating:

“We have tickets. I’m looking forward to the game and hopefully, they have a good performance.”

He reminisced about a past match:

“A few years ago, I went to the Bayern Munich and Dortmund game, and Dortmund won. Dortmund said, ‘Stephen Bunting’s been to our game, and we’ve never lost when Stephen Bunting’s there’.”

With a strong connection to the club, Bunting added:

“I’m really looking forward to it; it should be a good game. They should win, it’s going to be a special day.”

Meanwhile, Gerwyn Price also advanced to the quarter-finals with a 10-4 win over Cameron Menzies, and Ross Smith, the tournament's top seed, defeated Damon Heta 10-7 to complete the last eight lineup.
