South Africa's head coach Rassie Erasmus has drawn a parallel between Henry Pollock and Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, expressing admiration for the young English talent ahead of their anticipated clash in Johannesburg on Saturday, July 4.

Pollock, just 21 years old, has emerged as one of rugby's most thrilling back row prospects. His inclusion in Steve Borthwick’s squad signifies a likely debut against the Springboks at Ellis Park. Despite facing some criticism from South African fans, Pollock's dynamic style and consistent performances have earned him both international recognition and a spot in the British and Irish Lions.

Notably, Schalk Burger, a 2007 World Cup champion, previously labeled Pollock a “TikTok dancer,” which Pollock himself found confusing after the Gallagher Premiership final.

Erasmus emphasized the importance of focusing on Pollock's performance rather than the spotlight he attracts, stating, "He's like Siya. People make a big deal about certain players, but I don't always think the players themselves want that attention. What counts is what they do on the field, and recently, he’s been doing that."
