Spain’s players celebrated their World Cup victory with unique gifts after defeating Argentina in the final. The newly crowned champions were presented with Lego replicas of the World Cup trophy as they exited the MetLife Stadium.

In addition to the Lego sets, FIFA, in partnership with Lego, awarded 30 ‘Super Bowl-style’ rings to members of the Spain team. This tradition, common in American sports, mirrors the awards given to NBA Finals winners.

Spain captain Rodri and head coach Luis de la Fuente received temporary rings immediately post-match, while the custom-fitted rings will be delivered at a later date.

In a light-hearted moment, Spain defender Marc Cucurella shared plans to get a tattoo of his manager’s face after a pre-World Cup bet. De la Fuente remarked, “They made a mistake, but they are men of their word, and they will stick to their word.”

Ferran Torres, the hero who scored the winning goal, reflected on the match, stating, “I think in the end the goal came from 47 million people, not just those of us that are here.” He emphasized the connection with their supporters despite being far from home, adding, “Finals are hard. When you have Lionel Messi on the opposing team, you do get worried but we always backed ourselves.”
