New Zealand has announced three changes to their starting lineup for the second Test against South Africa on Saturday, August 29, as they aim for a commanding 2-0 series lead in Cape Town.

Leroy Carter steps in for Josh Moorby on the wing, while prop George Bower and lock Tupou Vaa'i replace Ethan de Groot and Josh Lord, both sidelined due to concussion.

The All Blacks currently lead the four-Test series 1-0 following their impressive 33-16 victory in Johannesburg last weekend, which elevated them to the world’s No. 1-ranked side, surpassing the reigning champions, the Springboks.

Carter’s addition creates a back three alongside Will Jordan and full-back Damian McKenzie. Ruben Love retains his position at fly-half, while Beauden Barrett is once again absent from the matchday 23. Ardie Savea continues as captain, and the All Blacks have opted for a 5-3 split between forwards and backs on the bench.

Coach Dave Rennie expressed optimism, stating, "While we were happy with the win last week, I think both teams will be better this weekend. We've played four Tests this year and are still growing as a group. I'm really excited about the competition for places and the performances of the squad across the matches here in South Africa, and we're really looking forward to this weekend."
