Mimi Rhodes is set to make her Solheim Cup debut for Team Europe at Bernardus Golf this week, fulfilling a childhood dream as she supports captain Anna Nordqvist in their quest to regain the trophy from Team USA after the 2024 defeat.

Having enjoyed a strong amateur career and secured three wins in her Ladies European Tour rookie season, Rhodes is eager to build on her debut LPGA Tour campaign by representing Europe. She expressed her excitement, stating, "For me, it's what I've been working for the last 12 years since I started playing."

Rhodes reminisced about her childhood, saying, "I have so many vivid memories of watching on TV at my grandparents' house. It's just such a huge week that everyone has to wait for every two years."

Despite facing challenges earlier in the season, including missing seven cuts in eight tournaments, Rhodes made a strong comeback, finishing well in the qualification campaign. She received the call from Nordqvist after the AIG Women's Open, a moment she described as "surreal."

Reflecting on her past experiences, including attending the PING Junior Solheim Cup in 2019, Rhodes has long aspired to represent her continent, believing it to be the greatest achievement in women's golf.

With the last three Solheim Cups being closely contested, Rhodes remains optimistic about Europe's chances, stating, "On paper, it doesn't really matter how strong their team is compared to ours. There were a lot of good vibes at practice, and we're going to have a lot of fun."

She praised Nordqvist's leadership, saying, "She's going to be an amazing captain... we're going to make her proud and bring it home." Rhodes is determined to seize this opportunity and contribute to Team Europe's success.
