Floodlights will illuminate matches in The Hundred on Wednesday as the UK experiences a rare solar eclipse. Up to 90 percent of the sun will be obscured by the moon from 6:17 PM to 8:06 PM, peaking shortly after 7 PM. This marks the first partial solar eclipse in 27 years, visible across Europe.

During the eclipse, the light will dim, temperatures will drop, and winds may shift. Organizers have decided to keep floodlights on throughout all matches, ensuring fans enjoy a seamless viewing experience.

Kempton Racing:

Kempton Park is also prepared for the eclipse with races scheduled at 7 PM and 7:30 PM. Clerk of the course Barney Clifford confirmed that floodlights will be activated early. He reminisced about the last eclipse nearly 30 years ago, noting the absence of floodlights back then.

The twilight meeting at Ffos Las has adjusted its schedule to complete all six races in daylight, while Kempton remains unaffected due to its existing floodlight setup.
