The Seattle Seahawks will be without their top running back for at least four weeks, having placed rookie running back Jadarian Price on injured reserve. This decision follows Price aggravating a chest injury sustained during Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals.

In Week 3, Price appeared in the Seahawks' loss to the Washington Commanders, rushing five times for 15 yards. Although he was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, he missed sessions on Thursday and Friday, leading to his exclusion from the upcoming game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Price has been pivotal for the Seahawks this season, accumulating 28 rushes for 119 yards, making his absence significant. With him sidelined, Emanuel Wilson and George Holani will step up to support quarterback Sam Darnold in the backfield.

Upcoming Schedule for the Seahawks:

• Week 4: vs. Los Angeles Chargers
• Week 5: vs. San Francisco 49ers
• Week 6: at Denver Broncos (Thursday Night Football)
• Week 7: vs. Kansas City Chiefs (Sunday Night Football)

In a related development, the Seahawks designated running back Zach Charbonnet to return to practice this week as he continues his recovery from a torn ACL suffered during last year's divisional-round win against the 49ers. This move opens a 21-day window for Charbonnet to practice without counting against the 53-man roster. Last season, he rushed for a career-high 730 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Head coach Mike Macdonald commented on Charbonnet’s progress, expressing confidence in his mental readiness while highlighting the importance of timing for his return. The team is carefully considering how to navigate practice schedules leading up to the Denver game.
