An anonymous source familiar with the situation disclosed to The Associated Press that Shanahan sustained:

• A concussion
• A broken nose
• Several fractured ribs
• Hand injuries

The 49ers organization confirmed that these injuries were non-life-threatening and expressed appreciation to the emergency services that responded to the scene last week.

With Shanahan sidelined, assistant head coach Chris Foerster will lead the team's initial practice on Sunday, with support from coordinators Klay Kubiak, Raheem Morris, and Brant Boyer.
