Ryan Garcia is poised to face Teofimo Lopez in his next bout following an emphatic victory over Conor Benn last month. Garcia successfully defended his WBC welterweight title with a swift second-round knockout of British contender Benn in Las Vegas.

Garcia's victory has sparked discussions for a potential fight against Lopez, who also holds a title in the same division. Lopez secured the WBA belt in August after a majority decision win over Rolando Romero.

Meanwhile, Benn is contemplating his next steps after suffering his second professional loss against Garcia. His long-time trainer, Tony Sims, has indicated that Benn will not compete in the welterweight division again.

The 30-year-old has announced via social media that he will take a break from the ring, although he remains linked to a potential trilogy fight against Chris Eubank Jr..
