In a heartfelt video shared on his social media, Wilson expressed his enthusiasm for continuing his connection to football, stating, "As I enter this next chapter with CBS Sports, I'm so blessed to continue doing what I love most - being around the greatest game in the world."

Drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, Wilson enjoyed a stellar 14-season career. He spent the first ten years with the Seahawks, leading them to their first Super Bowl victory in the 2013 season. After a trade to the Denver Broncos post-2021, Wilson faced challenges over two seasons before concluding his NFL journey with a stint in Pittsburgh and then with the New York Giants.
