Nigel Tinkler’s Lord Roxby stands poised to capitalize on his recent success as he heads into the Great St Wilfrid Handicap at Ripon this Saturday. Having won over the same course and distance earlier this month, he is a strong contender against rivals in a race where speed and positioning will be crucial.

The dynamics at Ripon favor high-numbered stalls in smaller fields, allowing quicker horses to secure the stands’ rail. However, last year's race highlighted the importance of speed, as Intervention triumphed from stall one, proving that front-running can overcome stall disadvantages.
