Chelsea is targeting Francesco Farioli, the head coach of Porto, to fill their vacant managerial position, but the 37-year-old is reportedly not interested in the move. Following the abrupt departure of manager Liam Rosenior earlier this month, the club is in urgent need of a long-term replacement, with Farioli at the top of their list, according to TEAMtalk.

Farioli has made a significant impact at Porto, winning 37 out of 50 matches in charge and leading the team towards their first league title in four years. His success has earned him a new contract that extends until 2028, which includes a €20m (£17.3m) release clause, posing a challenge for Chelsea in their pursuit.

When asked about his future amidst Chelsea's interest, Farioli assured Porto fans, stating, "Yeah, absolutely," confirming his commitment to the club. He expressed his happiness at Porto, saying, "I’m the coach of Porto, and I’m really happy to be here."

Chelsea, however, is exploring other options as well. They are considering Andoni Iraola, the manager of Bournemouth, who will be available after his contract ends this season. They are also looking at Marco Silva of Fulham and have even linked former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas to the role, although he may be eyeing a return to Arsenal.

After Rosenior's brief and troubled tenure, Chelsea is taking a cautious approach to their next managerial appointment, especially following a disappointing run that included a 3-0 defeat to Brighton, marking their fifth consecutive Premier League loss without scoring.
