Red Roses head coach John Mitchell has announced a robust 36-player squad for the home leg of the WXV Global Series, featuring 25 World Cup winners. This experienced team, led by captain Megan Jones, boasts a remarkable total of 1,234 international caps. Among the selections are three uncapped players: Bryony Field, Hayley Jones, and Sophie McQueen.

The squad's schedule includes:

• Australia at CorpAcq Stadium, Manchester on September 12
• Canada at Sandy Park, Exeter on September 19, a rematch of the 2025 World Cup final
• New Zealand at Allianz Stadium on September 26, expected to draw over 50,000 spectators

Mitchell expressed optimism about the team's preparation, stating, "It's been a positive pre-season... The girls have worked hard to elevate their connections, making us stronger."

He emphasized the squad's potential, noting, "This squad is only four weeks old; there is plenty in the tank. This is an exciting period to get after."

The 2026 season marks the inaugural edition of the WXV Global Series, with 12 nations set for the 2026-2028 cycle, ensuring no promotion or relegation.

As part of the series, the Red Roses will also tour Canada and the United States in October.
