Arda Guler has committed his future to Real Madrid by signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2031. This decision effectively ends the transfer interest from Arsenal and Manchester City, who had been monitoring the young talent closely.

The backdrop of this contract extension comes amid Jose Mourinho's return to Real Madrid, which has led to some speculation about squad changes. Despite concerns regarding Guler's fit within Mourinho's tactical setup, his undeniable talent has shone through.

Recently, Guler showcased his abilities during a match against Roma, where he came off the bench to provide two assists in a thrilling comeback from 3-1 down to secure a 4-3 victory. This performance has solidified his role as a crucial option for Mourinho, even if he is not yet a regular starter.

Key points include:

• Guler's contract extends until 2031.
• Interest from Arsenal and Manchester City has now been extinguished.
• He is viewed as a “major favourite” by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

With this new deal, it appears that this season could be pivotal for Guler as he aims to establish himself as a key player for the Spanish giants.
