The urgency of a "must-win" scenario looms large for several NFL teams heading into Week 2 of the 2026 season, especially for those who suffered defeats in their openers. While starting at 0-2 isn’t a definitive end to playoff hopes, it certainly complicates the road ahead, and doubts may start to set in regarding preseason expectations.

Here are the five teams that need a win the most:

• 5. Los Angeles Rams
Facing the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, the Rams are trying to bounce back from a 27-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. They must overcome the absence of pass rusher Myles Garrett due to injury, as they aim to avoid a disastrous start with tough matchups ahead.

• 4. Denver Broncos
After a 31-10 rout by the Kansas City Chiefs, the Broncos host the Jacksonville Jaguars. Defensive issues plagued their opener, with a staggering 28 missed tackles. Another loss could jeopardize their playoff positioning early in the season.

• 3. Green Bay Packers
The Packers fell to the Minnesota Vikings and are now on a six-game losing streak. As they travel to face the New York Jets, they need to secure a win to maintain any playoff aspirations, especially after being the only NFC North team to lose in Week 1.

• 2. New England Patriots
Following a disappointing performance against the Seattle Seahawks, the Patriots face the Pittsburgh Steelers. With concerns about their ability to recover from a potential 0-4 start looming, this game is crucial for their season's trajectory.

• 1. Dallas Cowboys
After a disappointing loss to the New York Giants, the Cowboys must regroup against the Washington Commanders. With defensive struggles and questionable decisions from Dak Prescott, this matchup is critical to restore confidence in the team.

Each of these teams faces significant pressure to secure their first victories of the season, making Week 2 a pivotal moment in their campaigns.
